WILSON, N.C. - Anjessa Evans scored 20 points and Keauna Vinson scored 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Barton College to a 74-68 victory over Anderson College in a CVAC women's game Saturday night. Barton, 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the CVAC, never trailed in the game. Anderson managed to tie the game twice - 37-37 at the half and 39-39 with 18:44 remaining. The Lady Trojans made a 9-2 run at the end of the first half to force the tie at 37. Barton led 51-41 with 12:38 remaining, but Anderson managed to pull within one - 66-65 - with 3:29 left. But the Lady Trojans could get no closer. LaShonda Chiles led Anderson with 26 points, seven rebounds, six steals, and four assists. Mikala Fogle-Wilson added 16 points and Deidra Langston tallied 13 for Anderson. Chiles, a junior from Greenwood, S.C., needs just 27 points to become Anderson's all-time leading scorer. Led by Vinson, Barton dominated the glass, 52-36, but the Lady Bulldogs only had a three-point advantage - 22-19 - in second chance points. For the game, Barton shot 45 percent from the field to 38 percent for Anderson. Box: Barton 74, Anderson 68 2005-06 Anderson College Women's Basketball Statistics
