Lady Trojans Open Play In CVAC Tournament

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Seeking to end a late-season slide, the No. 25 Anderson University Lady Trojans open play in the CVAC Tournament against Belmont Abbey Wednesday night at the Abney Center. Anderson, 21-6 overall, has lost three of its last four games, including a 73-55 decision at Belmont Abbey on Feb. 19. Belmont Abbey advanced to the quarterfinals by beating Queens University of Charlotte, 68-49 Monday night. Anderson and Belmont Abbey split during the regular season. Anderson won the first meeting at AU, 69-61 on Dec. 2. Belmont Abbey won the second meeting on its home floor 10 days ago. Both teams are 6-4 in their last 10 games. Anderson is led by CVAC Player of the Year candidate Deidra Langston, who leads the CVAC in scoring at 20.2 points per game.
