ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University women's basketball team moved up in both the WBCA Division II coaches' poll and the NCAA East Region poll this week. Anderson is No. 17 in the national poll, up from No. 20 last week. Florida Gulf Coast remains in the No. 1 spot in the coaches' poll. Rounding out the top 10 are Missouri Western State, Washburn, Southern Connecticut State, Glenville State, North Dakota, Delta State, West Texas A&M, Emporia State and Augustana. Anderson is the only South Carolina school in the national poll and one of two from the Carolinas. Elizabeth City State moved into the poll this week at No. 25. The Lady Trojans moved up two spots is this week's East Region poll from No. 4 to No. 2. Glenville State continues to hold on to the No. 1 spot in the region poll. Anderson is No. 2, followed by Barton, Pfeiffer, Indiana (Pa.), St. Andrews Presbyterian, East Stroudsburg, and California (Pa.). Anderson plays at Pfeiffer Saturday night with first place in the CVAC at stake.
