Lady Trojans Battle Past Coker, 76-69

ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson College placed four players in double figures to snap a three-game losing streak and beat Coker 76-69 in a CVAC women's game Monday night at the Abney Center. Anderson, 10-8 overall and 7-4 in the CVAC, was led by Leann Segers with 17 points, Kelly Latham with 14 points, Michelle Fleck with 12, and Deanna Thompson with 10. Thompson also had 13 rebounds and six assists for AC. The Lady Trojans, who have won seven of their last 10 games, trailed by seven five minutes into the game but rallied to take a 34-28 halftime lead. In the second half, Coker, 8-9 overall and 6-5 in the CVAC, cut the AC lead to three points - 49-46 - with 12:10 remaining. But from that point, AC went on a 19-5 run for a 68-51 lead with 2:14 to play. Segers capped the run with a 3-point goal, her lone trey of the game. Coker was led by Leanne Chandler, who had a game-high 20 points. Justina Dakins added 15 for the Cobras. Chandler also had 11 rebounds. Coker shot 38 percent while Anderson managed just 34 percent. AC made the most of its free throw opportunities. The Lady Trojans were 25 for 29 from the line. Segers was 8 for 8 from the line, while Fleck was 6 for 6. Game Statistics Season Statistics
