On Fire!: Lady Trojans Drop 112 On St. Andrews

LAURINBURG, N.C. - Six Anderson players scored in double figures as the Lady Trojans blasted St. Andrews Presbyterian 112-62 in a Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference game Monday night. The 112 points is a single-game school record and marks the second time this season that the Lady Trojans have topped the century mark. Leann Segers and Michelle Trewartha led AC with 21 points apiece. Decole Shoemate added 17 points, Kelly Latham had 15, Deanna Thompson chipped in 14, and Michelle Fleck had 12. Segers also had seven assists. Thompson grabbed seven rebounds and had five steals. Trewartha scored her 21 points in just 19 minutes. AC, 9-5 overall and 6-1 in the CVAC, never trailed in the game. St. Andrews got to within two - 25-23 - before the Lady Trojans went on an 18-0 run to take control of the game. The Lady Trojans, who shot 49 percent for the game, were 12 of 28 from behind the arc. Latham was 5 for 11 from behind the arc, while Segers was 4 for 7. St. Andrews, 3-10 and 1-5, was led by Mandy Coltrain with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
