Segers Earns Player Of The Week Honor Again

THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Leann Segers of Anderson College (9-5 overall, 6-1 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) women's basketball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. Segers is the first CVAC player this season to win two player of the week awards. Segers led the Lady Trojans to a 2-0 week including wins over Queens (75-70) in which she scored 36 points and a victory over Longwood (85-79) where she fired off three 3-pointers in the final 11 minutes of the game to secure the victory. The 5-foot-8 freshman guard from Hartwell, Ga. is averaging 19.2 points per game in CVAC play and ranks third in the CVAC in 3-point field goal percentage shooting 44.4% from behind the arc.
