Lady Trojans Ranked For The First Time Ever

ANDERSON, S.C. - For the first time in the history of the four-year program, the Anderson College women's basketball team is ranked in the regional poll. The Lady Trojans, 9-7 overall and 6-3 in the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference, are ranked No. 10 in the East Region. AC is one of four CVAC teams in the regional poll. CVAC leader Lees-McRae is ranked No. 3, Longwood is No. 4, and Pfeiffer is No. 5. The Lady Trojans wrap up a four-game road trip Saturday at Erskine. The Lady Trojans also are listed in several categories in the Jan. 26 Division II national statistics: -- AC's 18 3-point goals against North Greenville on Dec. 12 is the best single-game performance this season. -- AC is fifth in the nation in scoring offense at 82.9 points per game. -- AC is 6th in the nation in 3-point field goals per game - 8.5 -- AC is 13th in the nation in 3-point percentage - 38.0 -- Freshman Leann Segers' 15 assists against Allen on Jan. 6 (T4). Three players have had 16 assists in a single game. -- Segers' nine 3-point goals against North Greenville on Dec. 12 is the best single-game performance this season.
