ROCK HILL, S.C. - Seniors Brett Scarberry and Blake May have earned All-South Atlantic Conference honors as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

Scarberry was named First-Team All-SAC after ranking among the conference leaders all season at the plate, finishing with a career-high .373 batting average to rank 11th in the league.

He led the Trojans with his .373 batting average and ripped a team-high 14 doubles, while notching a .528 slugging percentage. Scarberry was second on the squad with 85 total bases, 60 hits and 31 RBI on the season.

The 5-foot-11 catcher was named SAC Player of the Week in mid-February after posting four multi-hit games to help lead the Trojans to three road wins. For his career, Scarberry hit .326 with 26 doubles, four triples, six home runs and drove in 76 runs.

May posted a stellar .964 fielding percentage on the season, committing just five errors while starting 49 games for the Trojans and earning the SAC Gold Glove award at third base for the second straight year. He committed just 10 miscues at the hot corner over the last two seasons, garnering recognition as a member of the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team in 2011.

This season, May helped turn nine double plays from his spot on the left side of the infield. On the offensive side this season, the native of Largo, Fla., was third on the squad with a .326 batting average and tied Scarberry with 60 hits and 31 RBI. May also led the team with 21 walks on the season.
