Chiles, Langston Make All-CVAC First Team

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- LaShonda Chiles and Deidra Langston of Anderson University were named to the All-CVAC first team at the league's annual basketball banquet Thursday night. Chiles, a 5-foot-2 junior guard from Greenwood, S.C., is second in the country this week in scoring at 23 points per game. She has scored in double figures in 73 straight games and has scored 2,065 points during her career. This season, Chiles has scored 20 or more points 20 times and 30 or more points four times. In CVAC play, Chiles averaged 23.7 points, 4.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game. Langston, a 5-foot-10 junior forward from Gainesville, Ga., is averaging 18.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. For the season, Langston is shooting .548 from the field. In CVAC play, Langston averaged 17.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game. Langston has scored 20 or more points 10 times this season. She scored a career-high 40 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds against Limestone on Feb. 16. The other three members of the first team were Keauna Vinson of Barton, Nicole Woods of Belmont Abbey, and Teneal Boone of Mount Olive.
