Chiles Named To Kodak/WBCA All-America Team

ATLANTA -- LaShonda Chiles of Anderson University received honorable mention All-America honors from The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thursday. This year's team marks the 24th year of the Division II Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team, which began in 1983. Selection committees in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions select ten of the top women's basketball players in the nation to be honored. This is the second year in a row Chiles has received honorable mention honors from the WBCA. The members of the 2006 NCAA Division II Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team are as follows: Kristi Boese, University of North Dakota; Lindsey Dietz, University of Minnesota-Duluth; Jennifer Harris, Washburn University; Lisa Lee, University of Charleston; Amanda Newton, Drury University; Erika Quigley, Saint Cloud State University; Niki Reams, Grand Valley State University; Sharmion Selmon, American International University; Amber Simmons, California State University-Chico; Michelle Stueve, Emporia State University. "This year's Kodak/WBCA All-America team truly represents the top of the crop in the women's basketball Division II level," said WBCA CEO Beth Bass. "We congratulate these student-athletes for their hard work and determination in making women's basketball even more exciting to watch."
