Fogle-Wilson Is Third Signee For Lady Trojans

ANDERSON, S.C. - Mikala Fogle-Wilson has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Anderson College, head coach Kevin Pederson announced Monday afternoon. Fogle-Wilson, a 5-foot-5 native of Columbia, S.C., played at Ridge View High School for James Libby. She averaged 18.3 points and four rebounds per game at Ridge View. She was an all-region and all-state pick and was named the MVP of the North-South All-Star game. Anderson has signed the last two MVPs of the North-South game. "We're excited to have Mikala sign on to play at Anderson," Pederson said. "She is an explosive scorer who can play either guard position, and she is one of the best shooters we saw all year. Coach Libby has done an excellent job with her at Ridge View High School. Their style of play is very similar to ours and we believe she will have an easy transition into our system. Mikala is a dedicated student athlete that will be a great addition to our program" Fogle-Wilson is the third signee for the AC program this year. Latrice Thomas of Graniteville, S.C., and Haley Riffle of Tybee Island, Ga., both signed with Anderson last week. Anderson, 25-7 overall last season, won the 2004 CVAC Tournament championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA East Regional. The Lady Trojans led NCAA Division II in scoring in 2003-04 at 85 points per game.
