Lady Trojans Second In The Nation In Scoring

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson College women's basketball team is second in the country in scoring, according to the latest NCAA Division II statistics. The Lady Trojans, who scored a school record 119 points against Limestone Monday night, are averaging 85.0 points per game, 1.4 points behind national leader California (Pa.). Anderson, which plays host to Lees-McRae on Wednesday, has scored 100 or more points four times this season. The Lady Trojans also are listed in the top 20 in three other categories. In the team statistics, Anderson is 14th in field goal percentage at 47.0. In the individual statistics, freshman Stephanie Ponds is ninth in field goal percentage (61.6) and freshman LaShonda Chiles is 16th in free-throw percentage (87.0).
