Lady Trojans Finish No. 1 In Scoring

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson College women's basketball team finished the 2003-04 season No. 1 in the country in scoring, according to the final NCAA Division II statistics released Monday. Anderson, 25-7 overall, averaged 85.0 points per game and topped 100 points four times. The Lady Trojans were 20-0 when they scored 80 or more points. Anderson won the CVAC Tournament championship and reached the semifinals of the East Regional. The Lady Trojans also had two additional top-10 finishes in the national statistics. Anderson was 10th in the country in field-goal percentage at 47.0, and freshman guard LaShonda Chiles was sixth in the country in free-throw percentage at 87.5.
