Chiles Named Player Of The Week For A Second Time

THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- LaShonda Chiles of Anderson College (21-6 overall, 16-4 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) women's basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season. Chiles led AC to three more victories this week as the Lady Trojans increased their winning streak to nine. Against Queens, she scored a career-high 34 points in Sunday's victory, knocking down seven shots from behind the arc. On Saturday the freshman from Greenwood, S.C., made 10 field goals in the victory over Mount Olive and finished the game with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Chiles averaged 24.6 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game in the final week of regular season play. For the week, Chiles committed just four turnovers in 106 minutes.
