McCrodden Blanks Pfeiffer To Split DH

MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Kelly McCrodden pitched a five-hit shutout and Angela Hauff had two doubles and drove in three runs to lead Anderson College to a 10-0 victory in the second game and a split of a CVAC doubleheader against Pfeiffer Tuesday afternoon. In the first game, Pfeiffer scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to edge Anderson, 4-3. Anderson opened the scoring in the third inning of the second game on a three-run triple by Caroline Rochester. In the seventh, Hauff provided an RBI double. In the seventh, PJ Taylor had a run-scoring single, Katie Howard had a two-run double, and Hauff had an RBI double. In the first game, Carolyn Smith had a two-run double in the top of the seventh to give Anderson a 3-2 lead, but Pfeiffer scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the victory. Anderson is now 23-19 overall and 7-8 in the CVAC. Season Statistics
