FLORENCE, S.C. -- The Anderson College softball team suffered three narrow defeats in the Francis Marion Tournament Saturday. AC lost to Augusta State 3-2, host Francis Marion 5-1, and No. 7 Armstrong Atlantic 1-0. The game with Francis Marion was tied at 1 entering the seventh inning but the Patriots broke it open with four runs. Armstrong Atlantic scored the only run of the game in the first inning. The three losses drop Anderson to 8-10 overall.
