The Price Is Right As AC Sweeps NG

ANDERSON, S.C. - Kristen Price hit two home runs, drove in three runs, and scored three runs to lead Anderson College to a 10-6 victory in the second game and a sweep of a non-conference doubleheader against North Greenville Tuesday afternoon at Smethers Field. In the first game, Anderson pitcher Lauren Powell struck out eight and allowed just one single and Caroline Rochester had three hits and scored two runs to lead Anderson to an 8-0 victory in five innings. Price hit a two-run homer in the first inning and a solo shot in the second inning to stake Anderson to a 7-0 lead. It was the first two-homer game by an Anderson player in more than a year. The Lady Trojans jumped on North Greenville in the first game by scoring five runs in the first inning. Carolyn Smith's bases-loaded triple was the big hit of the inning for Anderson. Run-scoring singles by Rochester and Price in the third inning gave Anderson an 8-0 lead. The sweep improves Anderson to 18-14 overall. Season Statistics
