THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Rico Grier of Pfeiffer University was the leading vote getter for the 2004-05 preseason All-CVAC Men's Basketball team, the league office announced Tuesday. Grier was recently selected to Street & Smith's preseason All-American Honorable Mention team. Following him in order on the preaseason team were 2003-04 second team All-CVAC member Rafael Moreira of Belmont Abbey College, 2003-04 honorable mention All-CVAC member Sharome Holloway of Mount Olive College, 2003-04 second team All-CVAC member Brandon Shipman of Limestone College, and senior B.J. Timmons from Queens University of Charlotte. The Preseason All-CVAC team is voted on by all conference member head coaches. Each coach can only nominate one individual from their team. The overall top five vote-getters are included.
