THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Mikala Fogle-Wilson, a 5-foot-5 junior guard from Anderson University, has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) women's basketball Player of the Week in the sixth week of the 2006-07 season, the CVAC office announced Tuesday morning. Fogle-Wilson, a native of Columbia, S.C., turned in two 20-point efforts to help Anderson increase its winning streak to ten games and stay unbeaten in CVAC play. She scored 22 points in Anderson's road victory at Converse as the Lady Trojans wrapped up a season sweep of the All-Stars. Then in a battle of CVAC unbeaten teams, Fogle-Wilson scored 21 points and handed out six assists in Anderson's victory over St. Andrews Presbyterian College. For the season, Fogle-Wilson is averaging 13.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. She is shooting 41 percent from the field, 37 percent from behind the arc, and 86 percent from the free throw line.
