WILSON, N.C. -- Trent Still hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game at 2 and Blair Carson brought home the winning run in the 10th with a sacrifice fly to give Anderson University a 3-2 victory over Barton in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament Thursday night. Anderson, 20-35 overall, will play regular-season champion Mount Olive at 1 p.m. Friday. Carson, the starting pitcher for Anderson, left the game after 7 2/3 innings trailing 2-0. Corey Welch relieved Carson and held the Bulldogs scoreless in the final 2 1/3 innings to pick up the victory. In the Anderson 10th, Roberson reached on a force out, moved to third on a single by Matt Hill, and scored on Carson's sacrifice fly.
