ANDERSON, S.C. -- Mars Hill scored two runs on an RBI single and a wild pitch in the tenth inning to beat the Anderson University 5-3 Tuesday afternoon at Anderson Memorial Stadium. Danny Miller drew a lead off walk in the tenth and scored on an RBI single by Austin Boehme that proved to be the game-winning run. Anderson got on the scoreboard in the first with back-to-back two out doubles by Trent Still and Blair Carson. Mars Hill answered in the second on an RBI single by Matt Oleski to tie the game at 1. Mars Hill used a single by David Desilva to take a 2-1 lead in the third. Corry Dibiase doubled moving Desilva to third, which set up Miller's RBI ground out. In the bottom of the third, the Trojans answered with a sacrifice fly to center by Carson that scored Patrick West, who had reached on a single. The Trojans took a 3-2 lead in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Walt Quattlebaum that scored Clint Neville, who reached on a single. But again Mars Hill would tie the game by scratching one run across on an RBI double by DiBiase. Jason Kennell picked up the win for Mars Hill, while B.J. Scarborough was saddled with the loss for the Trojans. Anderson was led offensively by Still, who was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, and by West, who was 3-for-4 with a run scored. Quattlebaum was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Carson had two RBI. Mars Hill was led by DiBiase, who was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two doubles, and by Boehme, who was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a triple. Mars Hill improves to 2-3, while Anderson falls to 0-4.
