Lady Trojans Remain At No. 5

LILBURN, Ga. -- The Anderson College women's basketball team remains at No. 5 in the latest USA TODAY/ESPN/WBCA Division II Top 25 coaches' poll release Tuesday afternoon. Anderson, 27-2 overall, has won 17 straight games. The Lady Trojans have more victories than any other team in the top 25. Drury (25-1) with 23 first-place votes remains the No. 1 team in the poll. No. 2 Shaw (25-1) and No. 3 Washburn (24-2) both received one first-place vote. Seattle Pacific (21-2) and Anderson make up the rest of the top five Rounding out the top 10 are Emporia State (22-3), Fairmont State (25-2), Lake Superior State (20-4), California (Pa.) (21-4), and Merrimack (22-4). California (Pa.), the defending national champions, and Merrimack are tied for the ninth spot in the poll. The complete poll is available at www.wbca.org.
