Mens Soccer Ranked 18th in the Nation

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson mens soccer team has been rewarded for its undefeated start to the 2009 campaign with a No. 18 ranking in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The Trojans (4-0) are off to their hottest start in at least the last 13 seasons and the ranking marks the first time AU has climbed into the Top 25 poll since becoming a four-year institution in 1991-92. "It is exciting for the program," said Anderson head coach Rob Miller. "The guys have worked hard and we carried over some momentum from last season. It's still early in the season so we don't want to get too caught up, but it's a confidence builder." The Trojans are back on the pitch visiting Peach Belt-opponent USC Aiken on Wednesday, with kick-off scheduled for 7 p.m. at the "Pacer Pit."
