DUE WEST, S.C. -- Anderson and Erskine battled to a 1-1 tie in a CVAC men's match Wednesday night at Huggins Field. Freshman Bryan Amey finished off a cross from fellow freshman John Michael Leppert to put Erskine up 1-0 at 19:11. The Fleet controlled the contest until 8:09 remained in the game. Erskine was called for a penalty in the box. Anderson's Michael Zion converted the penalty kick to knot the match at 1-1. Regulation ended with the game still tied. The two teams battled for two scoreless overtime periods with neither team having any solid scoring chances. Anderson is now 7-6-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the CVAC, while Erskine stands at 4-5-1, 1-4-1.
