THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Tolu Popoola of Anderson College (4-4 overall, 3-0 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) men's soccer Player of the Week. Popoola pushed his individual scoring streak to six straight matches after scoring a goal in each of Anderson's two matches this week. In the 3-2 thriller over Limestone Popoola recorded one goal and one assist. In a 4-0 shutout of St. Andrews Presbyterian, Popoola scored one goal. Popoola's six-match scoring streak has helped lead Anderson to its best start ever in CVAC play (3-0). He is averaging 0.88 goals per game and two points per game.
