ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson women's basketball standout Alexy Mollenhauer will be competing in the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup Andorra Qualifier for her native country of Azerbaijan, June 23-24.
The event takes place in Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra and will qualify teams to the 3x3 Europe Cup in Bucharest, Romania, September 14-16.
The nine women's teams will be divided into one pool of four and one pool of five. All teams play each other in their respective pools with the pool winners qualifying directly to the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2018.
Last summer, Mollenhauer competed in the Islamic Solidarity Games playing a vital role in winning the gold medal for its 3-on-3 competition.
As a Trojan, Mollenhauer has excelled both on the court and in the classroom. The Secondary English Education major carries a 4.0 in the classroom while garnering both academic and athletic awards during both of her seasons donning the Black and Gold uniform.
