Women’s Basketball Announces 2017-18 Schedule Change

ANDERSON, S.C. Due to the unfortunate damages caused by Hurricane Maria in mid-September, the Anderson University women's basketball Thanksgiving Classic in Puerto Rico has been relocated to the campus of the University of Tampa.

The Trojans will participate in the two-day event which will begin on Friday, Nov., 24th which include Minnesota State University Moorhead, Nyack College and host University of Tampa.

Anderson will first square-off against Minnesota State University Moorhead at 11am on Nov. 24th. Despite falling in the quarterfinal round of the NSIC Tournament Championship, the Dragons were awarded an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, it's first since the 2008-09 season.

The Black and Gold will then tip-off with host University of Tampa on Saturday, Nov. 25th at 1 p.m. The Spartans are a member of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) finishing 17-11 overall and 11-7 in conference action. Tampa made a small run in the SSC Tournament Championship before falling to Eckerd in the semifinals.
