SALISBURY, N.C. – Anderson women's basketball team was held to its lowest point total of the season falling to South Atlantic Conference opponent Catawba, 63-46, on Saturday afternoon at Goodman Gymnasium.
With the setback, Anderson moves to 8-4 overall and 3-2 in SAC play while the Indians improve to 5-5 overall and 3-1 in conference action.
Sophomore Madison Baggett was the lone Trojan to score in double-digits with 11 points. Baggett was 3-of-8 from the field hitting one 3-point basket while going 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Capping off the Trojans' scoring junior Ace Easter (8), graduate student Alexis Dillard (7), freshman Taylor Hair (6), sophomores Alexy Mollenhauer and Makayla Green (5) and senior Kaylee Koerperich (4). Dillard and Mollenhauer pulled down seven and six rebounds, respectively.
Catawba placed four players in double-figures with Terri Rogers scoring a game-high 16 points for the Indians.
The game was knotted up 16-16 after one quarter of action. However, Anderson suffered its lowest scoring quarter of the season (6) during the second frame to help the Indians take a six- point lead heading into the half.
The Indians were able find their flow in the second half while the Trojans struggled to find their rhythm. Catawba outscored Anderson, 35-24, in the final two periods of action to claim the, 63-46, conference victory.

-The Trojans six-point second quarter was the lowest scoring quarter of the season.
-Anderson is 0-4 when trailing at the half.
-Anderson's Baggett has reached double-figure scoring in the past two contest.
-Catawba has won two straight over the Trojans dating back to the quarterfinal round of the SAC Tournament last season.
-Since joining the SAC, the Black and Gold are 4-4 on the games heading into the Christmas break.
