DURANGO, COLO. – The Anderson University women's basketball team drops to No. 10 in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee late Monday.
Anderson is one of five teams represented in the poll this week from the South Atlantic Conference. Carson-Newman remains in the top slot while Wingate slipped one spot to the No. 3 slot. Lincoln Memorial and Tusculum occupy the seventh and eighth position, respectively.
Lander and Limestone each moved up a notch from a week ago to claim the second and fourth spot, respectively. Francis Marion moved up two to the No. 5 position while North Georgia landed in the sixth slot. Columbus State fell three spots remaining in the top-10 in the ninth spot.
The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fourth year of existence. The regional poll will be released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.
Anderson continues its five-game road swing when it plays on Tuesday against Peach Belt Conference opponent Young Harris. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. at the YHC Basketball Arena.
