GAFFNEY, S.C. -- The Anderson University softball team won its eighth straight game in the first game, but Limestone snapped AU's winning streak in the second game Thursday afternoon. Meredith Knox hit a lead-off home run for the Lady Trojans in the first inning and a bases-loaded walk gave Anderson its second run in a 2-1 victory in the first game. In the second game, Jennifer Casement pitched a three-hitter to lead Limestone to a 3-1 victory. Limestone scored its three runs on RBI singles by Jessica Brown and Lauren Robertson and a passed ball. Anderson is now 16-7 overall and 8-2 in the CVAC, while Limestone stands at 11-13, 5-3.
