ROCK HILL, S.C. - Anderson University men's track standout Christopher Burton has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
The freshman helped the Anderson men's 4x100 meter relay team set a new school record with a time of 41.88 at last weekend's University of the Cumberlands Invitational in Williamsburg, Ky.
Burton also went on to set another individual school record with a time of 10.72 in the 100 meter dash, while helping the men's 4x400 meter relay team finish fifth in a time of 3:27.43. The native of Johnston, S.C. also claimed sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.65 meters and 15th in the men's high jump with a height of 1.65 meters.

Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday, in Hickory,
N.C.
