Coastal Carolina Overwhelms AU

CONWAY, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina scored 3-point goals on three of its first four possessions on its way to an 85-45 victory over Anderson University in a non-conference game Wednesday night. Coastal, 3-2 overall, never trailed and shot 54 percent from the field. Everage Richardson led Coastal with 17 points. He was follow by Anthony Breeze with 15 points, and Steven Sexton and Jack Leasure with 12 points apiece. Anderson, 1-2 overall, was led by Brandon Young with 13 points. Coastal, coached by former Clemson head coach Cliff Ellis, made 11 of 26 shot from behind the arc (42 percent). Coastal scored 31 points off 20 Anderson turnovers, and Coastal's bench outscored the Anderson bench, 37-17. Anderson's next game is Monday at North Georgia.
