RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – Freshman Kate Hill carded a two-round 3-over-par 145 to claim a share of third place, while the Anderson University women's golf team moved up one spot to finish fifth, Tuesday at the Illinois-Springfield Island Getaway.

The two-day event was hosted by the Prairie Stars on the par-71, 6,083-yard Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Ocean Course layout.

Tarleton State led the tourney wire-to-wire and finished six strokes ahead of second-place St. Leo. St. Edwards finished 23 strokes further behind in third place, while Texas Wesleyan remained fourth. Anderson trimmed five strokes off Monday's opening round and lept past the host Prairie Stars into the fifth spot. Illinois-Springfield was sixth, with William Jewell and Manchester rounding out the eight-team field.

Hill (72-73=145) finished the tourney with five birdies and reached par on 24 holes to finish three shots behind St. Edwards' Johany Rivera, who posted a two-round even-par 142. Breann Smith (144) and Casey Wild (145), both from Tarleton State, finished second and third, respectively, with Hill even alongside Wild.

Sophomore Tiffany Elam (78-75=153) trimmed three strokes off Monday's round and finished in a tie for 12th, with junior Riley Lovorn carding a two-day 160 and sharing the 23rd spot. Sophomore Makalyn Poole (88-82=170) slashed six strokes off her first-round effort and moved into 33rd place, while sophomore Samantha Ellison (87-91=178) finished in a tie for 37th place.
