Women’s Golf Continues Fall Schedule at Patsy Rendleman Invitational

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University women's golf team is set to compete at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, which will be hosted by Catawba at the Country Club of Salisbury, Monday and Tuesday.

The tournament is set for a two-day, 36-hole event Monday and Tuesday.

The Trojans finished in a tie for seven at last year's event, with Makalyn Poole finishing in a tie for 20th. Sophomore Riley Lovorn shared 26th place, while Tiffany Elam finished in a tie for 38th. Blake Hodges shared the 53rd spot.

AU is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, with Poole and freshman Kate Hill each carding personal season-low 76s in the second round to share ninth place. Lovorn tied for 25th, while Elam shared the 35th slot. Hodges finished in a tie for 66th.

Elam, Lovorn, Hill and Poole have also each fired 77s this fall, with each of the scores coming in the opening round of a tourney. Poole owns the squad's lowest stroke average (77.75) through two tournaments, with Elam holding a 79.00 stroke average.
