ANDERSON, S.C. -- Two Anderson College athletes -- Jared Taylor and Gabor Boczonadi -- have received post-season honors. Taylor, a junior outfielder/shortstop on the AC baseball team, was named to the 2003 Verizon Academic All-District III College Division second team. Taylor, a business management major from Jonesville, S.C., batted .359 with eight doubles, five triples, two home runs, and 37 RBI. Taylor set the Anderson single-season record for hits with 79 hits in 52 games. Boczonadi, a freshman on the AC men's tennis team, was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year. Boczonadi, a native of Budapest, Hungary, had a singles record of 12-3 this spring.
