THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Nick Wates of Anderson College (28-13 overall, 13-6 CVAC) has been selected as the CVAC men's baseball "Pitcher of the Week". Wates helped Anderson move into first place with a victory and two saves in Anderson's three-game sweep at Pfeiffer. He has allowed no earned runs in his last six appearances and just five earned runs in his last 15 appearances. Four of those five earned runs came in one appearance against Coker. He has allowed just five base hits and just one extra base hit in his last six appearances. His strikeout to walks ratio is better than 2 to 1 for the season. He has stranded 18 runners in his last eight appearances. Wates is 6-1 on the season with 37 strikeouts, 10 saves, and a 2.43 earned run average. Division II Baseball Poll
