AC Athletes Finish With A Cumulative GPA Of 2.7

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Anderson College's 266 student-athletes finished the 2002-2003 academic year with a cumulative grade-point average of 2.770. "Our student-athletes did a good job in the classroom this year, but there is always room for improvement," said AC athletic director Bobby Beville. "Our No. 1 goal every year is to improve our cumulative GPA. I believe our coaching staff does a great job of emphasizing the importance of getting the job done in the classroom." Among AC's 18 teams, seven teams recorded cumulative GPAs of 2.9 or higher. The three teams with the highest average GPAs were women's cross country (3.633), women's track and field (3.421), and women's soccer (3.177).
