CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- The SAC Player of the Year in junior Kennedy McGaha (Honea Path, S.C.) and SAC Coach of the Year Denton Moore continue to recieve accolades for their fantastic 2023-24 season as Moore was named WGCA South Region Coach of the Year while McGaha was named All-South Region.
McGaha claimed the first ever NCAA South Region Individual title for the Trojans earlier this month with three rounds of 68 to finish 12-under for the tournament. She led the squad, headed by Moore, that took home the NCAA South Region title in dominant fashion, capping off a 19 stroke victory with an 8-under team score. Historically, since 2005, that ranks as both the largest margin of victory in the South Region and the only time that the winning team has finished under par.
The Trojans continue their trek for a national title as they compete in the NCAA National Championships at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge from May 21 to May 25.
