St. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. - The Anderson University women's golf team closed out its fall schedule as one of seven teams to improve their overall by at least nine strokes and moved into the 11th spot on the final day of action at the Flagler Fall Slam hosted by Flagler College at the 6,062 yard par-72 Marsh Creek Country Club.
Freshman Katie Eskew (79-79=158) fired a seven-over par 79 on both days to move into a tie for 11th on Tuesday, while teammates Laura Buyers (87-84=171) and Kalyn Johnson (87-84=171) each improved by three shots to garner a share of 53rd.
Sophomore Lindsay Parks (86-85=171) carded a final-round 85 and also shared 53rd. Senior Hayley Parks (90-83=173) made the biggest move by carving seven strokes of her opening round and jumped into a tie for 62nd.
Barry University pulled away from an opening-round tie with Saint Leo to take the team title by a comfortable eight strokes, while Saint Leo's Heather Petronis (72-79=151) held on to her first-round advantage to claim individual honors lead with a 36-hole round of seven-over 151.
