ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson and Flagler battled to a scoreless draw in nonconference men's soccer action Monday afternoon at Trojan Stadium.

Anderson, which was looking for its third consecutive win, moved to 3-8-3 on the season, while Flagler (8-2-3) posted its second consecutive stalemate after earning a tie at No. 16 Lander over the weekend.

The regional matchup saw the two teams battle gusting winds that made it difficult to win balls out of the air, but each squad matched the other's intensity throughout the contest.

Flagler held an 11-5 advantage in shots and a 6-5 edge in corner kicks on the afternoon, with the Saints appearing to put the first score of the afternoon into the net with less than three minutes left in regulation, but Flagler was whistled for offsides to negate the score.

Anderson goalkeeper Lukas Hesse recorded four saves through the 110 minutes, while Flagler keeper Camp Bissell went the distance for the Saints.

Anderson will get back into action Saturday with a South Atlantic Conference matchup at Carson-Newman. Kick-off versus the Eagles is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Jefferson City, Tenn.
