ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University men's soccer head coach John Murphy has announced the program's first-ever "Meet the Team" dinner on Friday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m.
The event, which will be hosted at Food for Thought on the lower
level of the Thrift Library on AU's campus, is to introduce the
2012 edition of Trojan men's soccer to the campus, local and soccer
communities, while promoting the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
throughout the Upstate.
Former Major League Soccer standout and current Fellowship of
Christian Athletes National Soccer Director Ross Paule will be the
keynote speaker.
"This will be an annual event where our soccer program reaches out to various groups within the Upstate, "said Murphy. "Ross is a former player of mine from my Major League Soccer days, is an outstanding person, and will have a positive message for all in attendance."
Tickets for the event are $25 per person, with group tables and
donation rates available. Coach Murphy will host a "Positive
Coaching" youth coach's clinic Saturday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5
