ANDERSON, S.C. - Tusculum sophomore Andre Bissmark's goal in the 50th minute gave visiting Tusculum a 1-0 win past Anderson in a South Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday afternoon at Trojan Stadium.

Anderson slipped to 1-5-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the conference, while Tusculum (4-3-1, 1-2 SAC) snapped a three-match winless streak with the victory.

Early in the second frame, Anderson's Zak Moss appeared to give the Trojans the lead, but his goal was waved off by the officials due to a handball called on the Trojans and moments later Bissmark scored his first goal of the season after taking a pass from freshman Dario Greiser and finding the back of the net from close range.

The two teams combined for just three shots the rest of the way, with the Trojans unable to find the back of the net for the equalizer on a pair of attempts inside the final 15 minutes.

Each team finished with six shots, with the Trojans holding a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks. Senior Andy Goellner earned the win for Tusculum while recording a pair of saves. Senior Lukas Hesse went the distance for the Trojans and notched three saves on the afternoon.

Anderson will get back on the pitch Wednesday when the Trojans play host to North Georgia College. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Trojan Stadium.
