Lady Trojans Ranked No. 3 In East Region Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Anderson University women's basketball team is ranked No. 3 in the latest East Region poll released Wednesday afternoon. Anderson, 26-2 overall, is riding a 19-game winning streak entering Thursday night's Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinal against Belmont Abbey at the Abney Center. Two teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference are ranked 1-2 in the poll. California (Pa.) is No. 1 and Indiana (Pa.) is No. 2. Both Cal and Indiana are in the PSAC semifinals Friday. The final poll will be released Sunday at 10:30 p.m. The top eight teams in the poll receive invitations to next week's East Regional, and the No. 1 team in the poll will be the host school. Following Anderson in the poll ae West Liberty State, Shepherd, Fairmont State, Millersville, and Clarion. The two teams outside the top eight in the 10-team poll are Shippensburg and Conference Carolinas member Barton.
