Trojans Notch School Records at ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- The Anderson track and field teams traveled north this past weekend, with three Trojans setting new school records at the 32nd annual Niswonger Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State over the weekend inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center on the David E. Walker Track. Sophomore Whitney Bishoff notched a new AU school record with a time of 10:22.59 in the 3000m finals en route to a fifth-place finish, while Katelyn Rodgers set a new benchmark for the Trojans, running an 11.01 time in the 60m hurdle preliminaries. On the men's side, Zach Hart recorded a new record with a 9.86 in the 60m hurdle prelims. Sophomore Lauren Sloan had another stellar outing when she registered a mark of 11.95m in the women's shot put, capturing 18th, while Will Byers had an impressive weekend with a 23rd and 31st place finishes in the men's shot put (11.98m) and men's weight throw (11.64m), respectively. Freshman Alex Pena also garnered 47th in the men's 3000m. Anderson will compete at the Dick Taylor Carolina Classic on Friday and Saturday at the Eddie Smith Fieldhouse, in Chapel Hill, N.C. Results
