DUE WEST, S.C. - Reigning Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, Dylan Goodale scored two second-half goals to lift Erskine College to a 2-0 upset win past sixth-ranked Anderson in non-conference men's soccer action Wednesday night at Huggins Field.

Anderson (13-3) wrapped up its regular-season road schedule by falling to the Flying Fleet for the first time since suffering a road setback to Erskine in 2001, with the Fleet snapping AU's school-record win streak at 11 and earning a point in the Beville Cup standings, with the Trojans still leading 2-1 in the standings.

Erskine (9-6-1) claimed its third win in a row, while improving to 4-4 at home.

Each team posted five shots in the first half, with the Trojans notching three attempts on goal, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.

Goodale scored what turned out to be the game-winner at the 48:50 mark as his seventh goal of the season came from the left corner of the box.

The Trojans responded by firing four shots in the next 15 minutes of action, but Goodale added an insurance goal for the Fleet in the 85th minute, putting EC ahead 2-0.

AU's seventh-ranked offense outshot the Fleet, 17-12, on the night and held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks, but was unable to convert nine shots on goal and suffered just its second shutout of the season.

AU junior keeper Lukas Hesse recorded six saves on the night, while absorbing the setback. Erskine net-minder Roberto De La Vina collected nine saves en route to the win.

The Trojans, winners of 13 of their last 15 outings, close out their regular season on Saturday with a Homecoming match-up versus Wingate, when the Trojans will put their 14-match home win streak on the line versus the Bulldogs. Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. at Trojan Stadium.

AU will be bidding to become the first team since Carson-Newman in 2006 to post an unblemished conference record and just the sixth team in league history to go through the rugged schedule without suffering any setbacks or ties during the regular season.
