GREENWOOD, S.C. - In a battle between two top-25 teams that was not decided until the 90th minute, senior forward Lasse Sohrweide scored with just 19 seconds remaining to lift No. 21 Anderson past 11th-ranked Lander, 2-1, in non-conference action Wednesday night at the Jeff May Complex.

Sohrweide's dramatic fourth game-winning goal of the season came off an assist from senior midfielder Mark Smith, who notched his third assist of the year.

Anderson (8-2-0) extended its win streak to six, while snapping Lander's two-match win streak. The Bearcats, who were coming off an upset of then-10th ranked Flagler, slipped to 6-3-1 with the setback.

After a scoreless first half, AU senior defender James Moseley gave the Trojans a 1-0 lead at the 66:38 mark after taking an assist from teammate Ben Jones. It was Moseley's third score of the season.

But Lander answered less than two minutes later, as Chris Hobbs evened the score in the 69th minute of action.

The Trojans countered with a flurry of five shots over the next five-plus minutes, but were unable to find the back of the net. The Bearcats then fired three shots inside the final three minutes but were turned away each time by AU goalkeeper Lukas Hesse, who recorded six saves on the night.

Hobbs' final attempt of the contest was wide with 1:04 on the clock and the Trojans responded with Sohrweide's heroics.
