HARROGATE, Tenn. - Senior Lasse Sohrweide's second-half goal and a smothering defense lifted the 10th-ranked Anderson men's soccer team to a 1-0 win past Lincoln Memorial Saturday afternoon at the LMU Soccer Field.

With their school-record 11th consecutive victory, the Trojans (13-2, 8-0 SAC) clinched the South Atlantic Conference regular season championship, while Lincoln Memorial (6-5-3, 5-2 SAC) dropped into fourth place in league standings.

Sohrweide scored from the left side of the goal on a long cross from teammate Daniel Bowers in the 51st minute for the lone goal of the contest and the Trojan defense posted its seventh shutout of the season to give AU the conference title.

The Trojans outshot the Railsplitters, 22-6, on the afternoon and held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks. AU keeper Lukas Hesse had three stops for the Trojans to earn the win, while LMU goalkeeper Michael Watkins had five saves and absorbed the loss.

Anderson visits Erskine on Wednesday before returning home to wrap up the regular season on Saturday against Wingate. Kick-off versus the Flying Fleet is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Due West.
