AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Anderson men's tennis team fell, 6-3, on the road at Peach Belt opponent Augusta State Tuesday afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center. Anderson dropped to 2-2 on the season with the setback, with AU suffering a rare sweep in doubles but garnering wins at No. 1, N. 5 and No. 6 singles. Stephane Murray defeated Jenner Stevenson, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 1 slot, with Deni Mehagic collecting a straight-set 6-0,6-4 win past ASU's Guilherme Ferraz. John Karle stayed perfect on the season (4-0) by winning, 7-5, 6-2, at No. 6. Anderson will get back on the courts Thursday, when the Trojans play host to Conference Carolinas foe Belmont Abbey.
