Trojans Will Open Tourney At Queens

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University men's soccer team will travel to Queens University of Charlotte Tuesday for a first-round match in the 2007 Conference Carolinas Tournament. Anderson, 8-10 overall, is the No. 7 seed in the tournament. No. 2 seeded Queens, 8-5-3 overall, beat Anderson, 3-0 at Anderson on Oct. 18. In the first round of last year's conference tournament, the two teams battled to a scoreless tie. Queens earned the right to advance on penalty kicks. Anderson enters the match playing its best soccer of the season. The Trojans have won four of their last five matches. The match will start at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the semifinals Friday at Mount Olive.
