Cox, Harris Hook Up Twice To Lead Queens Past AU

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Heath Cox scored two goals, both off assists from Jamie Harris, and Dan Williams made four saves to lead Queens University of Charlotte to a 3-0 victory over Anderson University in a Conference Carolinas match Thursday night at Smethers Field. Queens, 7-4-3 overall and 5-1-2 in Conference Carolinas, scored its first goal at the 32:50 mark when Chad Pinnick scored off an assist from Evan Sprinkle. Cox and Harris hooked up twice in the second half in a three-minute span to put the match away. Both goals came on breakaways -- the first at 63:57 and the second at 66:54. The Royals took 13 shots, five on goals, while the Trojans took 11 shots, four on goal. Anderson created several scoring chances in the first 20 minutes of the second half, but the Queens defense kept the Trojans off the board. The loss drops Anderson to 5-10, 3-5.
